Maxine Soltes was born April 6, 1927 at Delta, Missouri the daughter of John Henry and Josie Ellen (Dunn) Griffin and passed away on October 23, 2017 at Fredericktown at the age of 90 years.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Webster Griffin, Bert Griffin (Marie) &. Arthur Ray (Frances). Maxine married Marvin Soltes on April 26, 1946 at Charleston, Missouri, who also preceded her in death.

Maxine is survived by daughter Christy Soltes (Karen) of Marshall, Missouri, son Gary W. Ballew Jr (Amy) of Bonne Terre, Missouri and Frances Gardner-Alton  who was like a daughter of Waterloo, Illinois. Three (3) grandchildren Trevor, Dante & Ryan.

Maxine was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Wyatt, Missouri and enjoyed baking, cooking and being involved the Girl Scouts for 20 plus years
