Bert Donald Brown was born January 13, 1920 at Lithium, MO, the son of James Theodore and Bessie Mae (Preston) Brown, and passed away at the Arbors at Westridge Place at Sikeston, at the age of 97 years.
Bert was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse Zella Bernice (Hager) Brown, whom he married July 31, 1938 at Benton, MO, infant dauthers Marcia Ann and Maura Lee on June 20, 1947, daughter Jeanine Donice Ownby on March 18, 2008, five (5) brothers Marvin Brown, George Brown, Reuben Brown, James (Jim) Brown, William Johnson Brown, three (3) sisters Barbara Schmidt, Hazel Dunker, and Elsie Brown.
Bert is survived by three (3) sons Clinton Cadle Brown of Plymouth, NE, Carroll Bert Brown of Benton, AR, Terry Wayne Brown of Festus, MO, two (2) daughters Berniece Donella Logan of Bonne Terre, MO, Brenda Sue Sikes of Scott City, MO, one (1) sister Ann Hacker of Monterey, CA, twenty one (21) grandchildren, fifty two (52) great-grandchildren, and fifty one (51) great-great-grandchildren.
Bert received the WW II Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Theatre, WW II Victory, and Philippine Liberation campaign ribbons.
Bert was a member of the Marquand Baptist Church, and was a Catfish farmer, a farmer, and a plumber.
