Bertha McMasters Knight was born on June 7, 1936 at Truman, Arkansas, the daughter of J.J. and Mary Penter, and passed away on August, 24, 2022 at the age of 86 years.

Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband O.C. McMasters, who she married on December 12, 1953, her daughter Jeanna Tiefenauer, and siblings Lorene Upton, J.P. Penter, Sam Penter, Alice McDonald, Z.C. Penter, and Rosalee Looney.

Bertha is survived by her husband Leonard Knight, who she married on September 18, 2012, one (1) son Terry (Donna) McMasters, one (1) daughter Doris (Randall) Huffman, one (1) sister Viva (Bill) Chaffin, five (5) grandchildren Jennifer (Shay) Tourville, Travis (Kristen) Huffman, Kelly (Chad) Bess, Amanda (Keith) Sohn, Justin (Liz) Walls, and twelve (12) great-grandchildren.

Bertha was a member of the Charity Missionary Baptist Church, and she enjoyed quilting, bowling, and spending time with her family.
