Betty A. (Simmons) Dowd entered into rest November 6, 2013 at the age of 82 years. Cherished wife of the late Lindell Dowd whom she was united in marriage to on February 2, 1952 at Bollinger County, Missouri; daughter of the late Jess and Clara (Chapman) Simmons; dear mother of Karen (the late Richard) Schmaltz of Imperial and Kimberly (Steve) Dominic of Kansas City; adored grandmother of Lindsey Robinson (David Angell) of St. Louis, Eileen Dominic of Chicago and Aaron Dominic of Kansas City; loving sister of Nina Miller of Fredericktown, the late Clarice "Polly" Stinnett, and the late Mary Simmons; beloved aunt of Julie Miller of Fredericktown and James Stinnett of Heculaneum. Betty was a devoted grandmother and enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, November 9, 2013 in Fredericktown at the Follis and Sons Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10:30 A.M.
