Betty Jean Shafer was born may 25, 1932 at Phoenix, Arizona the daughter of Otto Edward and Naomi Delphe (Parks) Zimmerman and passed away on April 16, 2019 at Ozarks Manor at the age of 86 years.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Shafer whom she married on June 22, 1951 at Reno, Nevada, Two (2) sons Leonard Elmo Shafer Jr. & Lonnie Wayne Shafer, Two (2) granddaughters Tracy Jean Shafer & Sandra (Sandy) Diane Henderson, Two (2) brothers Billy Jo Zimmerman & Ot Edward Zimmerman.

Betty is survived by One (1) son Donnie Shafer (Jenice) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Two (2) daughters Rhonda Temares of Belleville and Patricia Hagler of Farmington, Missouri, One (1) brother Jerry Turnbull of Yakima, Washington. Grandchildren Kim (Aaron) Bolen of Parkville, Mo, Laura (Travis) Dowd of Fredericktown, Andrew Hardesty of Lovelady, Texas, Jessica (Andy) Coffey of Muskogee, OK. David (Elayna) Temares of Belleville, IL., & Kevin (Lindsay) Shafer of Fredericktown. Also, eleven (11) great grandchildren.

Betty was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed reading, cooking for the family, spending time with grandkids
