Blake Scott Taft was born on July 22, 1952 at St. Louis, Missouri the son of David Harley and Bernice (Johnson) Taft and passed away on February 11, 2018 at Fredericktown at the age of 65 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother David Harley Taft Jr.

He is survived by his wife Jerry Ann (Huffman) Taft whom he was united in marriage to on December 1, 1993 at Fredericktown, two sisters Donna (David) Short of Potosi, Missouri and Vickie (Tim) Short of Washington, Missouri and nieces Heather and Brooke. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Anna Mae Huffman of Fredericktown and in-laws Tim (Karen) Huffman of St. Louis, Missouri, Sue (Dave) Mitchell of Fredericktown, Jane (Alan) Kopitsky of Fredericktown, and Mike (Margie) Huffman of Ironton, Missouri. Blake enjoyed music, playing guitar, BBQing, collecting memorabilia, and walking.
