Bonnie Kay Whitener was born January 12, 1945 in Oakland, California the daughter Homer D. and Lora (Cox) Berry and passed away on July 27, 2023 in St. Louis at the age of 78.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Whitener who she married at Mt. Pisgah Church.

Bonnie is survived by their children Jason Whitener and Angie (Steve) Starkey, One (1) brother Ronnie (Judy) Berry and One (1) sister Kathie Goad. Four (4) grandchildren Meghan Swearengin, Colton (Erin) Starkey, Erin Whitener and Ethan Whitener. Two (2) great grandchildren Suede Swearengin and Denton Swearengin.

Bonnie was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing, spending time with family, was very active with her church, church camp and playing the piano.
