Carl Alvin Hovis Jr. was born June 15, 1937 at Flat River, Missouri the son of Carl Alvin and Mildred B.(Agnew) Hovis Sr.and passed away on July 20, 1937 at Madison Medical Center on Fredericktown at the age of 72 years.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents,his son Tim Hovis Sr., brother John Hovis,sister Mary Clayton.
Carl is survived by his wife Pearl (Hampton)Hovis who he married on November 19, 1960 at Doe Run, Missouri. One (1) daughter Tammy Anderson of Farmington, Three (3) brothers Robert Hovis of Hillsboro, Dale Hovis of Park Hills, and Larry Hoivs of Farmington. Six (6) sister Bobbie Stevens of Fredericktown, Glenda Chapman of Farmington, Carol McClellan of Fredericktown, Gail Nicholson of Waynesburg, Kentucky, Martha Hovis of Farmingtom and Lois Johnson of Farmington. Six (6) grandchildren and Five (5) great grandchildren.
Carl was a member of the Church of God of Fredericktown for 30 years. He enjoyed coin collecting.
