Carol Lynn Hovis was born on February 23, 1959 at Sulpher, Louisianna, the daughter of George and Patsy Swope, and passed away on September 2, 2021 at the age of 62 years.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, one (1) granddaughter Amelia Hovis, one (1) brother Allen Swope and one (1) brother-in-law Greg Huff.

Carol is survived by her husband Gary Hovis, who she married on March 5, 1977 at Patterson, Missouri, one (1) son Eric (Shannon) Hovis, one (1) daughter April (John) Vacca, her father-in-law and mother-in-law Bill and Shirley Hovis, one (1) brother Dale Swope, one (1) sister Robin Huff and three (3) granddaughters Ava Caroline Hovis, Adalynn Joy Hovis and Ainslee Faith Hovis.

Carol was a member of Old Paths Church and enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing cards, cooking and  spending time with family, especially her granddaughters.
