Carolyn B. Pierce Lurk was born April 15, 1937 at Fredericktown, the daughter of Harold and Ruby LaChance, and passed away on Wednesday June 6, 2018 at the age of 81 years.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lindell Pierce whom she married at Tunica, Mississippi in 1955.

She is survived by two (2) daughters Tamara Autry, Dana Cain, one (1) brother Terry (Carol) LaChance, six (6) grandchildren, fourteen (14) great-grandchildren, and two (2) great-grandchildren.

Carolyn began her nursing career as an aide to Dr. Newcomb in the sixties. She got her RN license after attending the first nursing class at the Nursing School of Mineral Area College. She worked many years at St. John's Mercy & transferred to St. John's in Oklahoma City. After several years there she moved back to the area and worked at Parkland Hospital where she retired.
She enjoyed her family & was always ready to help her grandchildren in any way she could. She was always ready to go to the Casinos when friends called.
