Carrie Jo (McDaniel) Menteer was born on August 6, 1953, at Ironton, Missouri, the daughter of Winferd James and Betty Jo McDaniel Sr., and passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 70 years.

Carrie Jo was preceded in death by her parents, two (2) sisters, Karen Ann McDaniel, Flora Beth "Flossie" Kemp, one (1) brother, Winferd "Winnie" James McDaniel Jr., and one (1) grandson, Kody James Menteer.

Carrie Jo is survived by her husband Richard Keith Menteer Sr., who she married on February 5, 1971, at Fredericktown, two (2) sons, Richard Menteer Jr., Matthew (Jennifer) Menteer, two (2) daughters, Brandi (Matthew) Adams, Heather (Bradley) Drennen, special niece Amy (Wesley) Royer, eighteen (18) grandchildren, and twelve (12) great-grandchildren.

Carrie Jo was married to her high school sweetheart for 53 years. Together they built a wonderful life. They enjoyed traveling the country together, their time in Rome, traveling in their "little red car" and especially loved their time in Gulf Shores.

Carrie Jo was an amazing caregiver by nature and spent most of her life providing care to many, and often put her own needs aside to ensure amazing love and care was given.

Carrie Jo raised her family and became a "Mom" and "Maw Maw" to many others. Her family and friends were what she loved the most, aside from her best friend time with Connie, her walking girls, and her Church Family.

She enjoyed coordinating fish fries at St. Michael's Church, flower gardening, loving her miniature schnauzer Gretchen, and raising her ducks.

Carrie Jo will be greatly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and also by those who grew to love her.
