Charles L. Francis was born on January 12, 1942 at Slabtown the son of David and Esther (Parsons) Francis Sr. and passed away on September 11, 2013 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 71 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother David Francis Jr. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Underwood on February 27, 1960 at Coppermines Free Will Baptist Church in Fredericktown. He is survived by his wife Evelyn; three daughters Charlet (David) Pense of Fredericktown, Judy (Shane) Dobbelare of Perryville, and Becky (Mark) Stamp of Fredericktown; two sisters Nancy (Rodger) Matthews of Fredericktown and Kathy (Kevin) Hill of Fredericktown; and six grandchildren Chelsea Pense, Cristen Pense, Jacob Dobbelare, Luke Dobbelare, Bailey Stamp, and Lexie Stamp. Charles was a member of the Meadow Heights Baptist Church and served in the Missouri National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, fishing, and baseball.
