Charles Lester "Buddy" Johnson of Fredericktown, MO, formerly of East Prairie, MO, passed away March 15, 2016 in Chesapeake, VA.

He was born on March 28, 1949 to the Late Charles and Edna Johnson. He was a graduate of East Prairie High School. He spent 18 years with the St. Louis area Police Dept. and 23 years with the Madison County Sheriffs Dept. before retirement.

On August 14, 1971 he married Yvonne Kleeschulte who survives the home. Also surviving are 3 sons; Isaac and Erica Johnson of Fredericktown, MO, Lonnie and Jessica-Tara Johnson of Perryville, MO, Joseph and Becca Johnson of Corpus Christi, TX, and 2 daughters; Tammy and GM1 Joseph Christos of Chesapeake, VA and Edna and Shane Rodgers of Colorado Springs, CO. He is survived by 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, 3 brothers; Henry and Sharon Johnson of East Prairie, MO, Wendell and Kathy Johnson of Arnold, MO, Richard Johnson of Parogould, AR, 3 sisters; Edna and Doyle Powell, Becky Johnson Botkin of Sikeston, MO, Sarah and Cecil Gunter of Poplar Bluff, MO and by many nieces and nephews and a host of many relatives and friends. Besides his parents and grandparents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Jerry Johnson Chadwell and Joseph Johnson.
