Charles T. Barnes Sr. was born September 2, 1919 in Topeka Kansas the son of Aaron Ellis and Ida (Keeling) Barnes, and passed away on December 26, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri at the age of 89 years.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ida (Stottler) Barnes whom he married at St. Louis in 1975.
He is survived by three (3) sons Charles T. Barnes Jr. of Marquand, James E. Barnes of Phoenix Arizona, and John R. Barnes of Boonville, Missouri. Two (2) daughters Charlotte Williams of Enterprise Alabama, and Vera Roberts of Tipton Missouri.
One (1) sister Fern Bridges of Phoenix Arizona, twelve (12) grandchildren, and twenty six (26) great-grandchildren.
Charles was a member of First Baptist Church of Fredericktown, Masons, Eastern Star, and V.F.W.
He enjoyed woodworking.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 30 after 5:00 P.M. at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home.
Services will be held on Wednesday December 31, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Hugo Walka officiating.
Interment will be held in Marcus Memorial Park.
