Cheryl Kay White was born December 19, 1948 in St. Louis to Frady L. and Anna B. (Moreland) White and passed away on July 31, 2016 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at the age of 67 years.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents. Cheryl was an only child.
Those surviving Cheryl are Dale White and wife Linda of Fredericktown, Dewey White & wife Debi of Union, Mo., Linda Faye Fleshman of Cuba, Mo. and Jack Moreland & wife Carol of Tucson, AZ. Also several other cousins.
Cheryl loved dogs her, current dog "Jewell" was just that – a real Jewel. She was a loveable , well behaved dog.. Cheryl gave Jewel a lot of attention and love in return. It wasn't long & Cheryl became a "Jewel" herself to her dog. Jewel has been adopted now to a very good home & now she has a brother TY, owned by Ron & Cindy Morris
Anyone who knew Cheryl would know how she loved to decorate with mice… stuffed mice, books about mice, nite-lights of mice, pictures of mice. All Cheryl needed to complete her little family was a Cat.
Cheryl enjoyed being with friends & family eating out & shopping. Whenever she had to go St. Louis or Cape Girardeau to the doctors & hospitals, the first thing she would say to Dale & Linda before leaving Fredericktown, was OK guys, where are we eating for lunch. She enjoyed having a little breakfast on Tuesday & Thursday mornings with her home health aide, April. If Cheryl wasn't able to get out & shop the next best thing for her was QVC. She enjoyed watching her soap operas Rachel Ray & Oprah. But she really enjoyed shopping with QVC!
Cheryl's 50th class reunion was coming up in October & she bought a new dress from QVC just for the reunion. She was very excited about the Big 50th!!
Cheryl worked Rexall Drug Co. in St. Louis working her way up from lab secretary to quality control inspector to personnel manager. In 1985 Rexall closed she moved back to Fredericktown & got a job at Madison Medical Center, then went to work at Brown Shoe factory. She went into kidney failure in 1987 & had a kidney transplant which lasted 17 years and went back on dialysis in 2004.
Cheryl loved her Lord Jesus & her church family. She had received a book from Marie titled "Jesus Calling" which she read every morning to start her day with Jesus. She also enjoyed discussing scripture with others & learning more about God's word.
Cheryl is now with her Lord, eternally praising & worshipping Him.
