Deborah Kaye (Shoemake) Hoffren, or "Debbie" was born October 3rd, 1961 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edward and Patricia Shoemake. She passed away January 5th, 2015 at the St. Ann's Bay Hospital in Jamaica at the age of 53.
She was preceded in death by her father in law, Dr. James A. Hoffren.
She is survived by her husband, Todd, of Spring, Texas, whom she married on April 4th, 1993 at Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica.
She is also survived by her parents, Eddie and Patricia Shoemake, one sister Christy Johnson and her husband, Thomas, of Fredericktown; one sister in law, Laura Holmstrom and her husband, Lyle, of Harris, Minnesota; and her mothers-in-law, Cindy Hoffren and Joan Hoffren.
Four nieces, Janet Jones and her husband Bradley; Denise Gipson and her husband Calvin; Kimberly Johnson and Elise Holmstrom; three great nephews – Ayden Jones, Ryker Jones and Curtis Gipson.
Debbie enjoyed cooking, traveling, and working with computers; she gave charitable contributions in Jamaica to farmers, unwed mothers, and local schools.
Debbie successfully operated a travel business for over a decade, winning several awards including the Best of the Best for Sandals and Beaches in 2013.
Debbie will be sadly missed by her family and a host of friends.
