Deloris M. Slocum was born May 11, 1937 at Fredericktown the daughter of William and Birdie (DeSpain) Carpenter and passed away on August 8, 2017 at Fredericktown at the age of 80 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Eskel Brewington, Edna Fisher, and Lorene Graham, brothers Clarence Carpenter, Paul Carpenter, Edward Carpenter, and Herman Carpenter. She is survived by her husband Joseph Slocum whom she was united in marriage to on July 20, 1955 at Fredericktown, two sons Alan (Nancy) Slocum of Desloge, Missouri and George Slocum of DeSoto, Missouri, three daughters Julia (Jeff) Everett of Farmington, Missouri, Tracey (Rick) Wibbenmeyer of Terre-Du-Lac, Missouri, and Teresa (Randy) Herteen of Terre-Du-Lac, Missouri, one brother William Carpenter of Fredericktown and one sister Darlis Mullins of DeSoto, Missouri. Also seven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and many loving friends. Deloris was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Fredericktown and enjoyed flower gardens.
