Dencil Allen Francis was born October 30, 1933 at Tamaroe, Illinois, the son of Dora Allen and Vena Faye (Haycraft) Francis and passed away on March 24, 2018 at the age of 84 years.

Dencil was preceded in death by his wife Esther Phyllis Francis, whom he married on July 7, 1954, his parents, two (2) brothers Otis James "Jay" Francis, Marvin "Bud" Francis, four (4) sisters Ima Jean Francis, Maxine Higgins, Delores Cook, Wanda L. Clapp, and one (1) son John A. Francis.

Dencil is survived by three (3) sons David Allen Francis, Dencil Dwayne Francis, Richard Allen Francis, four (4) daughters Tamara R. Seeck, Mary A. Midkiff, Melody Gisewhite, Janet Staas, one (1) sister Norma Jean Combs, seventeen (17) grandchildren, and twenty four (24) great-grandchildren.

Dencil enjoyed fishing, working, and whistling.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, and received the purple heart.
