Dolly Faye Cheek Thies

Faye Thies, 87, died Monday evening, June 29, 2015 at Stockhoff Nurse Home.
Ms. Thies was born on August 15, 1927 to John and Effie Besher. She was a longtime resident of both Marquand, Mo ad St. Charles, Mo. In 1959 she married Floyd Cheek of Marquand, Mo., but then later in life married Jesse Thies of St. Charles, Mo.
She and Floyd raised a daughter Janice Wright of St. Peters, Mo and Jerry Cheek of Marquand, Mo.
She enjoyed taking care of people and country western dancing. She was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and of the Baptist faith and trusted in her savior, Jesus Christ.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Wright of St. Peters, Mo. One son, Jerry Cheek and wife Sandy of Marquand, MO. Two grand-daughters Melinda Stevens and husband Jody of Dexter, Mo. and Michele Walsh and husband Jeff of St. Peters, Mo. Four great grandchildren, Dylan and Dustin Hovis both of Bloomfield, Mo., and Drew and Abi Walsh, both of St. Peters, Mo. One sister, Grace Slezak Lyons of Tennessee as well as several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her father and mother, John and Effie Besher. Her husband Floyd Cheek as well as her late in life husband Jesse Thies. Two brothers, Carl Raymond Besher and Melvin "Pee Wee" Besher. One nephew Carl "Dusty" Besher and one great nephew, Austin Adams.
