Donald Dee Flaherty Sr. was born on January 31, 1939 at Lincoln, Kansas the son of Leo and Lillian (Kingan) Flaherty and passed away on March 23, 2016 at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 77 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Roy Flaherty and Gerald (Butch) Flaherty, and also two infant brothers. Don is survived by his wife Ruth Ann (McElvain) Flaherty whom he was united in marriage to on June 9, 1967 at Womack, Missouri, one son Donald Dee Flaherty Jr. of Perryville, Missouri, one daughter Sherry Ann Vance of Burlington, Iowa, grandchildren Corey Flaherty, Bryce Flaherty, Logan Flaherty, Elijah Vance, Kaleb Flaherty, Ethan Vance, and Lydia Vance, one great grandson Castyn Flaherty, sisters Marlene Arthur of Beverly, Kansas, Charlene Dewitt of Beverly, Kansas, and brothers Herbert Flaherty, Harold Flaherty, and Joe Flaherty all of Beverly, Kansas, Vern Flaherty and David Flaherty of Salina, Kansas.
