Elwanda Tate was born on March 7, 1940 at Poyen, Arkansas the daughter of James Alonzo and Mavis Charity (Byrd) Plummer and passed away on October 2, 2016 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown at the age of 76 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Earl J. Tate whom she was united in marriage to on November 7, 1955 at Stanislaus County, California, one son David Tate, and brothers Dames Plummer Jr, Larry Byrd Plummer, and Troy Lane Plummer. She is survived by daughters Sharon Lankford of Farmington, Brenda (David) Emerick of Florida, and Donna (Chris) Hansmann of Marquand, one sister Janice (Alvin) Kay of California, twelve (12) grandchildren, and seventeen (17) great grandchildren. She was of the Southern Baptist Faith and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
