Floy Mae Whitener was born on April 3, 1930 at Fredericktown the daughter of Francis Lauren and Ada (Elders) Whitener and passed away on February 17, 2013 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown at the age of 82 years. She was preceded in death by three (3) sisters Naomi Whitener, Virginia Moore, and Margaret Farmer and two (2) brothers Willard Whitener and Joe Whitener.One (1) great nephew Mark Leslie Moore. Floy Mae is survived by seven (7) nephews Richard Moore of Jackson, Missouri, Bill Whitener of Fredericktown, Raymond Whitener of Perris, California, Bob Moore of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bruce Whitener of Maryland Heights, Missouri, Roy Whitener of Purrump, Nevada, and David Whitener of Huntington Beach, California and five (5) nieces Olivia McFarlane of Garden Grove, California, Kathryn Wright of Fredericktown, Martha Repsel of Adams, Tennessee, Marilyn Moore of Fredericktown, and Elizabeth Holmes of Murfreesboro Tennessee. Also fifteen (15) great nieces/nephews and eight (8) great-great nieces/nephews. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Fredericktown where she enjoyed being the church organist, choir member and choir director for many years. She also enjoyed teaching, reading, gardening, and crafts.
