Floyd Eugene Slaughter was born on January 30, 1917 at Moberly, Missouri, the son of George and Myrtle Slaughter and passed away on July 21, 2019 at the age of 102 years.

Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary who he married on August 30, 1934, two (2) brothers Cornelius Slaughter, and Leslie Slaughter.

Floyd is survived by two (2) daughters June (Larry) Hopkins, Marilyn (Mike) McFarland, four (4) grandchildren David (Jane) Hopkins, Denise (Tom) Prigge, Jeff (Amy) McFarland, Greg McFarland, nine (9) great-grandchildren, and two (2) great-great-grandchildren.

Floyd was member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church, and enjoyed fishing, bowling, he volunteered with the Conservation Department, and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids.
