Freda Myers, a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and beloved wife, aunt, sister, and friend, went home to heaven on July 24, 2025, at the age of 97.

Freda was born on May 2, 1928, to her parents, Tena Hess and Melva Kennedy Hess. She was married on March 13,1948, to Aubrey Myers until his passing in 1994. Their love story was a testament of lifelong commitment and shared devotion to the Lord.

Freda had a passion for physical fitness. She enjoyed nature walks and daily exercise classes. Freda found joy in adventures and trying new things like Tai Chi, hang-gliding, motorcycle rides, and "joy ride" outings with her friends from Laclede Groves.

Freda's faith in her Lord, Jesus Christ, was the cornerstone of her life, and she looked forward to eternity with Him.

Freda is preceded in death by her parents Tena and Melva Hess, beloved husband, Aubrey, siblings Helen Hess Miller, Cletus Hess, and Elgin Hess. She is survived by her brother, Donald Hess, sister-in-law, Jean Price, niece Sharon Ellebrecht, nephews Mark, Mike, and Randy Hess, and many great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to honor Freda will be held on Monday, August 11, at 1:00 p.m., at Marcus Memorial Park Cemetery in Fredericktown, Missouri, under the direction of Follis & Sons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Missouri Baptist Foundation to be added to the Aubrey and Freda Myers Memorial Endowment.
