Gary Lee Asher was born on November 24, 1945 at Fredericktown, the son of Herman and Allegra (Hicks) Asher, and passed away on July 4, 2024, at the age of 78 years.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Leroy Asher, two (2) sisters, Ruth Wengler, Hester Carter, two (2) brothers, Darryl Asher, Larry Asher, and brother-in-law Don Myers.

Gary is survived by three (3) sons, Gary L.R. (Ann) Asher, Jason Asher, Chuck (Jennifer) Penuel, two (2) daughters, Amanda (Mike) Viehland, Vicki (Artie) Allgier, one (1) brother, Terry Asher, two (2) sisters, Barbara Myers, Sandra Asher, eleven (12) grandchildren, Kelli Walker, Chelsea Weibrecht, Marlee Griggs, Zackary Viehland, Lizzie Miller, Emma Asher, John Ryan Asher, Reagan Asher, Alyssa Brown, Nathan Allgier, Clark Penuel, Ava Penuel, and seven (7) great-grandchildren.

Gary attended Fredericktown First Freewill Baptist Church, and he was a member of Marcus Lodge 110, Shriners, Scottish Rite, and Sword of Bunker Hill.
