George Junior DeSpain was born May 30, 1926 at Saco, Missouri the son of George Burton and Maude Essie (Brewington) DeSpain and passed away on January 11, 2018 at Farmington, Missouri at the age of 91 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Dorothy Maxine (French) DeSpain whom he was united in marriage to on May 9, 1947 at Fredericktown. Also preceding him in death was one brother John Payton DeSpain, two sisters Queenie Priday and Dorothy Miller, and one daughter Glenna Kay DeSpain. He is survived by one son George Keith (Phyllis) DeSpain of Fredericktown, three daughters Karen Lea (Larry) Hoover of Fredericktown, Susan Kathleen (Brent) Cooper of Farmington, Kimberly Ann (Roger) Ward of Fredericktown, seven (7) grandchildren, twenty (20) great grandchildren. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading, playing cards, and yard work. George also proudly served in the United States Navy and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Medal.
