George Edward Tibbs Sr. was born February 21, 1938 at St. Louis, Missouri, the son of James F. and Mable Tibbs, and passed away on August 26, 2018 at the age of 80 years.

George was preceded in death by his parents, two (2) sisters Mary Lois Asher, Dorothy Jeffries, three (3) brothers Bill Tibbs, Leroy Tibbs, Floyd Tibbs, and one (1) grandson Jason Tibbs.

George is survived by his wife Robin Ann (Francis) Tibbs whom he married on September 1, 1988 at Dyersburg, Tennessee,  three (3) sons George (Piroska) Tibbs Jr, Nicky (Staci) Lee, Timothy (Raven) Lee, three (3) daughters Carmen Tibbs, Tracy (David) Powers, Tracey (Billy) Wagganer, one (1) brother Jerry Tibbs, two (2) sisters Earlene Copeland, Norma Wilson, fourteen (14) grandchildren, and eleven (11) great-grandchildren.

George attended Church of God of Prophecy, was part of the 101st Airborne, and he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, the Masonic Lodge, Shriners, Scottish Rite, and being in the outdoors.
