Georgia Alberta (Mann)Bollinger, was born on March 23, 1919 at Howe's Mill in Dent County, Missouri to William Oscar Mann and Martha Zoe (Ball) Mann and passed away on March 18, 2012 at Xenia, Ohio at the age of 92 years . She was the only surviving sibling of 11 children- 6 girls and 5 boys. She went to school in a one-room schoolhouse just across the country road from her father's farm at Howe's Mill, where he raised hogs and grew tobacco. Upon reaching adulthood, she moved to Fredericktown, Missouri to work. There is where she met her late husband Leroy Bollinger, whom she married September 3, 1938. They both worked at Brown Shoe Company where their combined service to the company totaled 80 years. Georgia was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Fredericktown, and she also served in the Ladies Auxiliary where she volunteered at the gift shop in Madison Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed quilting and made many beautiful quilts throughout the years, plus she enjoyed making Cabbage Patch Kids when they were popular in the mid-1970s. Georgia has a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Meko Bollinger who live in Beavercreek, Ohio. Her only granddaughter, Marsha, lives in Columbus, Ohio and her only grandson, Timothy and his wife Tana who live in Chicago, Illinois. Georgia has many nephews, nieces, in-laws and other friends who were close to her over the years. For the last 7 years, Georgia lived in the Emerald Cliff Assisted Living and the Greene Oaks Nursing Home in Xenia, Ohio.
