Gerald Hale "Jud" Pierce was born January 10, 1932 in Rochester, New York. He died on August 2, 2010 in Farmington, Missouri at the age of 78 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ella Marie Pierce, one (1) brother Charles Pierce, and two (2) sisters Joanne Church and Meppie Dewhirst, one (1) step son John Paul Skaggs III and the mother of his children, Mary Jane Pierce.
Jud is survived by his wife Glenda (Robinson) Skaggs-Pierce, and his six (6) children Bonnie Mohan of London, England, Michael and Calie Pierce of Fort Collins, Colorado, Gerald Hale Pierce II and Kathy of South Elgin, Illinois, Terri and Marty O'Brien of Aurora, Illinois, Patti and John Zuck of Clearwater, Florida, and Tammi and Peter Slozyk of Peotone, Illinois, fourteen (14) grandchildren, and one (1) great-grandchild. He is also survived by five (5) step-children Joan Means, Donna Kline, Ruth Ann Skaggs, Beth Matthews, and Rob Skaggs, eleven (11) Step-grandchildren, seventeen (17) step-great grandchildren, and two (2) step great-great-grandchildren, plus a host of family and friends.

A memorial mass will be held on Monday August 9, at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church with Father Mitchell Wilk Celebrating Mass.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday August 8, 2010 with Prayer Service being held at 5:00 P.M. at the Follis & Sons Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to Special Olympics, or Farmington no kill pet adoption center.
