Gerald Vernon McCord III was born on March 15, 1967 at St. Louis, Missouri the son of Gerald V. and Georgeanna McCord II and passed away on March 23, 2016 at Cape Girardeau at the age of 49 years. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents Gerald and Lucille McCord and George G. and Goldie E. Carroll. He is survived by his mother Georeanna McCord of Fredericktown, two sons Joshua (Macia) McCord of Tennessee and Alec McCord of Fredericktown, one daughter Jennifer (Joe) Smith of Springfield, Missouri, one sister Michelle (Lawrence) Atlas of Fredericktown, and two grandchildren. He was a dear uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law, and friend. He enjoyed video games, reading books, history, puzzles.
