Gilbert Ray Beard was born April 16, 1951 at Cape Girardeau, Missouri (along with sisters Gloria and Gladys) the son of Walter and Audrey (Long) Beard and passed away on August 4, 2017 at Marquand, Missouri at the age of 66 years.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, brothers J.W. Beard, Harold (Bud) Beard, Darris Beard, sisters Mary Tyler & June Lincoln and a daughter Sandy Beard.

Gilbert is survived by his wife Ginger (Miller) Beard, daughters Tina Beard (Richard Cureton), Shannon Dodd (Ray) & son Mike McCarthy (Christina). Grandchildren Cheyenne and Madison Cover, Raylyn and Kyndal Dodd, Tim, Mathew, Josh, Nathan McCarthy, great grandson Broady McCarthy. Sisters Gloria Hoxworth of Oak, Missouri, Gladys Glover of Burfordsville, Missouri & Shirley Probst of Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Gilbert was a member of Rhodes Chapel United Methodist Church was a U. S. Army Veteran and enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, washers & cards.
