Glenda Mae "Birdie" Tinsley was born October 23, 1938 at St. Francois County, Missouri and passed away at the age of 86 years on January 24, 2025 at Stockhoff Nursing Home in Fredericktown, Missouri.

She was the daughter of Alfred Samuel & Helen Wright Thomure.

Glenda was united in marriage to Daniel "Boone" Tinsley May 15, 1954 in Mississippi, and to this union two children were born, Shirley Tinsley and Kenneth Tinsley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, one infant sister, Phyllis Thomure; brothers, Alfred "Bud" (Jean) Thomure, Harry "Mano" (Donna) Thomure, Truman Thomure, Leeman Cletus "Nick" Thomure and Alvin Thomure, also one brother-in-law; Earl Cover.

Glenda is survived by her son, Kenneth (Belinda) Tinsley and two grandchildren; Sara and Kira Tinsley. She also leaves one niece who she looked at as a daughter, Tonya (Gary) Wood; a great niece and her daughter, Tabby Freeland and Dextra Quevreaux, which Glenda felt was also her grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Cover; sister-in-law, Delores "Dee" Thomure; sister-in-law, Judy (Jim) Senter and sister-in-law, Paula Thomure.

She devoted her life to helping her husband and being a mother and grandmother to many of her family members. If a truck was in need of repair, Glenda could more than likely help with the repairs or possibly be the repair girl. She loved to garden, sew, cared for and loved animals , especially her cats and being a mom and grandma to all those she adopted as her own.
