Glenn accepted Christ as his personal Lord and savior in 1950 at Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston, Mo. This began a life-long journey of faith in action, as he began to teach a boy's Sunday School class and served for many years as a deacon of his church. After moving to Fredericktown, Mo. they joined Meadow Heights Baptist Church where they faithfully attended for 30 years until they were homebound because of bad health.
Glenn grew up in Southeast Missouri and enjoyed farming and spending time with family. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time, especially in later years with his many grandchildren.
Glenn retired from Arkansas Best Freight Truck Lines in 1973. After retirement they moved from Cape Girardeau, Mo. to Fredericktown, Mo. By growing vegetables in his garden he was able, once again, to enjoy working in the soil. He loved sharing the bounty of his work with many family and friends. In 1974 they made their first trip to Lake Wales, Florida. This trip ignited a spark that took them to Florida for 27 wonderful winters.
The last two years he has been a resident of Stockhoff Nursing
Home. Everyone there remembers him as a gentle, sweet, helpful person. He will be missed by the residents and staff.
It's not goodbye Daddy, Grandpa, Paw-Paw, GPaw, but farewell, where we will join you later in heaven.
