Rev. Howard F. Welches was born August 5, 1924 at Kokomo, Indiana the son of Howard F. and Elise (Anderson) Welches and passed away on April 9, 2012 at Piedmont, Missouri at the age of 87 years.Howard was united in marriage to Pauline H. Brooks on September 16, 1945 in Elwood, Indiana.Howard was preceded in death by his parents; three (3) sisters Ruby Gillum, Helen Mier, and Carolyn Rushton; and two brothers Albert Welches and Leon Welches.Howard is survived by his wife Pauline, one son Jay K. (Nancy)Welches of Monticello, Indiana; one daughter Joy K. (Gary) Rhodes of Piedmont, Missouri; one brother Lloyd Welches of Farmland, Indiana; one sister Wanda Singer of Elwood, Indiana; three (3) grandchildren Justin Welches of Burbank, California, Michael (Anna) Rhodes of Nashville, Tennessee, and Mark Rhodes of Nashville, Tennessee. Also nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.Howard was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed pastoring his congregation, gardening, fishing, and visiting with people.
