Irene Fern SImmons Robbs Lowry was born March 16, 1920 at Fredericktown, Missouri the daughter of Thomas Benton and Hannah Milar(Mouser)Simmons and passed away on March 20, 2011 at Claru Deville Nursing Center in Fredericktown at the age of 91 years.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Four(4) brothers Clarence, Marvin, Price and Edmond Simmons, Three (3) sisters Pauline Miller, Emogene Shoemaker, and infant Maxine Simmons. Irene is also preceded in death by her husband Willard Robbs who she married on December 24, 1936 who passed away on April 8, 1990.
Irene later married Paul W. Lowry on February 15, 1992 who survives her.
Irene is survived by one son Dale (Rhonda) Robbs, two daughters Barbara (Norman) Sitzes and Carolyn Brown, step-daughter Joyce Lowery Blake, seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
Irene was a member of the Bethany United Baptist Church.
Services were held on March 23, 2011 at the Follis and Sons Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Buford officiating. Burial was at the Roselle Cemetery.
Pallbearers included Rusty Brown, Kenny Sitzes, Timmy Robbs, Brandon Robbs, Brent Walker, and Jack Parson.
