Irene D. Settle was born December 4, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on October 2, 2024 at the age of 82 years. She was united in marriage to Lilbourn Settle June 17, 1961 at Esther, Missouri. Lilbourn preceded Irene in death September of 2023.

She is survived by 0ne (1) daughter, Deborah Joy Settle of Fredericktown, Missouri and numerous friends.

Irene loved making crafts and going to craft shows and festivals to sell her creations. She also enjoyed going to auctions both to buy and sell.

Her passion was the Azalea Festival in Fredericktown. She was a volunteer and Azalea Board member for over 40 years. She has been the head of the arts and crafts for many years. She recruited artisans and vendors to make it a successful festival each year. She has been active in helping organize festivals in other towns as well, one of those was Old Greenville Days, where she also developed a clown character named BooBoo to entertain the crowd. She enjoyed making children smile and laugh.

Irene was vice-president of Dixie Lee Quilters Quilt Guild and a member of the Madison County Fair Board.

Irene also enjoyed her Yorkie puppies and her two cats.
