Ivalou Elaine "Myke" Mays was born May 20, 1939 at Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Melvin A. Shephard and Meriedth (Wass) Shepherd Armstrong, and passed away on February 27, 2018 at Cherokee Pass, Missouri at the age of 78 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Clifford Shepherd and Charley Armstrong.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Mays whom she was united in marriage to on August 7, 1960 at Sikeston, Missouri, two (2) sons James (Nancy) Mays of Piedmont, Missouri and Donnie (Joan) Mays of Fredericktown, one (1) daughter Suzanne (Ray) Waites of Piedmont, Missouri, one (1) brother Norman Shepard of Midland, Michigan, one (1) sister Betty Brunger of Grayling, Michigan, seven (7) grandchildren, and eight (8) great grandchildren.

Myke enjoyed crosswords and puzzles, sewing, embroidery, animals, teaching, and spending time with her kids.
