James Paul "Jim" Darnell was born June 1, 1943 at Menfro. Missouri the son of James franklin and Norma Pauline (Perry) Darnell and passed away on May 22, 2018 at Fredericktown at the age of 74 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sandra Susie Darnell who he married on February 24, 1961 at Festus, Missouri, granddaughter Desiree Bennett, step-father Ivan Grebe and step-mother Esther Darnell.

Jim is survived by Two (2) sons Greg Darnell (Yvette) of Perryville, Rick Darnell (Debi) of Fredericktown, Three (3) daughters Sherry (Mike) Richey, Melinda (Eddie) Evans & Cindy (Darren) Hammack all of Fredericktown. One (1) brother Clarence Darnell of Fredericktown and One (1) sister Vonna (David) Burnett. Sixteen (16) grandchildren Fred Wood, Cory Darnell, Nick Darnell, Jessica Beaty, Brian richey, Aimee Richey, Marc Richey, Alissa Darnell, Whitney Rehkop, Hollie Huckaba, Raven Hovis, Cory Evans, Skiler Kannenberg, Malerri Kannenberg, Brian Hammack & Breezy Hammack.

Jim attended Higdon Christian Church and enjoyed woodworking, trains, tinkering, old cars and tractors
