James L. Miller was born on December 28, 1935, at Weingarten, the son of Charles E. and Laura E. (Tinsley) Miller, and passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 89 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, two (2) granddaughters, Melissa A. Miller, Pamela "Marie" Miller, and eleven (11) brothers and sisters.

Jim is survived by his wife Shirley A. Miller, who he married on November 7, 1954, at St. Louis, Missouri, two (2) sons, Harlan W. (Brenda) Miller, Leland K, (Barbara) Miller, Laura L. (Edward) Matlock, one (1) sister, Norma Dean Moon, five (5) grandchildren, seventeen (17) great-grandchildren, and three (3) great-great-grandchildren.

Jim was a member of the Fredericktown First Freewill Baptist Church, was a member of the Lions club for 54 years, and served as Fredericktown City Alderman Ward 3 for 10 years.
