J.F. Sitzes was born on September 3, 1927 at Marquand, Missouri the son of Daniel E. and Lilly Catherine (Yount) Sitzes and passed away on April 29, 2014 at St. Louis at the age of 86 years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Howard Sitzes and one sister Fern Cravens. J.F. was united in marriage to Thelma Jo Myers on March 20, 1954 at Buckhorn, Missouri. He is survived by his wife Thelma Jo of St. Louis, one son Deryll W. (Kathy) Sitzes of St. Louis, one daughter Deborah L. (Mike) Howard of St. Louis, one brother Frank Sitzes of Marquand, three sisters Mary Blunt of St. Louis, Helen Vogler of St. Louis, and Fay Hazen of Festus. Also four grandsons, six great granddaughters, and one great grandchild on the way. J.F. was proud of his family, especially his four grandsons and six great granddaughters. He was interested in all Texaco memorabilia and loved automobiles but was always partial to the Fords and Lincolns.
