Joan
Hardin
March 22, 1939 – March 30, 2025
Joan (Kemp) Hardin entered into eternal rest and went to her heavenly home on March 30, 2025 at Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown at the age of 86 years. She was born on March 22, 1939 in Saco, Missouri, the daughter to the late Delbert and Bernice (Spain) Kemp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Wallace Alan "Wally" Hardin who passed away in 2018, two brothers Donald (Betty Kiger) Kemp and Kenneth (Linda Kennedy) Kemp, a nephew Wesley Kemp, and a great nephew Kerry Mills.
On December 13, 1958 Joan was united in marriage to her soulmate and forever husband Bob Hardin in St. Louis, Missouri. They shared 66 wonderful years together.
Joan is survived by her husband Bob, grandsons Dylan Hardin and Billy (Tara) Hardin of Elgin, Illinois; great grandchildren Ava Hardin and Chase Hardin of Elgin, Illinois; sister Karen (Dayne) Greer of Coldwater, Missouri; nieces Carla (Scott) Burian of Waterloo, Illinois and Charlotte Kemp of Williamsville, Missouri; nephews Roger (Shelly) Kemp of DeSoto, Missouri and Dwayne (Malinda) Greer of Imperial, Missouri.
Joan worked in St. Louis for McDonell Douglas for several years, until Bob and her decided to move back home to Saco. Joan was an active member of the New Home Church in Saco where she grew up. She had a deep faith and love of God that was taught by her mom and also the importance of attending church. Joan took pride in her work in cleaning and would do whatever it took to keep Saco looking the very best as possible and up to speck, including helping Bob trim trees around the church and keeping the fence row around the cemetery cleaned out.
Joan was great cook and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a caring and faithful friend to many.
