John R. Francis was born on March 1, 1940 at Fredericktown, the son of Leo and Verna Francis, and passed away on January 18, 2019 at the age of 78 years.

John was preceded in death by his parents, two (2) brothers David Francis, Charles "Buzz" Francis, two (2) sisters Dorothy Emmett, and Hilda Francis.

John is survived by his wife Joan, whom he married on September 6, 1963 at San Antonio, Texas, four (4) sons Robert (Valerie) Francis, Ronald (Naomi) Francis, James (Sandra Arango-Caro) Francis, John (Sherry) Francis, three (3) brothers Harold (Carol) Francis, Howard (Cathy) Francis, Leo (Jana) Francis, four (4) sisters Betty Bastie, Patsy (Don) Magers, Myrtle (Vince) Vacca, Ethel Kay (Dennis) Bradford, two (2) sister-in-laws Hannelore Francis, and Judy Lawrence, and four (4) grandchildren.

John was a member of St. Michaels Church in Fredericktown, and enjoyed flying, fixing anything mechanical, music, and spending time with his grandchildren.
