John E. Seitz was born June 13, 1945 and passed on December 3, 2024 away at Mercy South Hospital at the age of 79 years. He was united in marriage Sept 2, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri to Doris Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents; John and Lydia Seitz, two brothers and one sister-in-law; Evelyn Miller Cox.

John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Doris Seitz, one brother-in-law; Raymond Cox and two sisters in law; Melba Miller and Sharon Ammon, also several nieces and nephews.

John was born in Hemau, Germany and came to this country at an early age. He proudly served three years in the U.S. Army and became a naturalized citizen at that time.

He worked several years as a mechanic for D&H Motors in Richmond Heights. He joined a friend and drove for United Van Lines and traveled the United States and Canada. He retired from Allied Systems where he delivered Ford automobiles. Upon retirement, he and Doris moved to Fredericktown where he learned the farm life.

His life was full of things he enjoyed, his Lutheran faith, music, family & friends, various organizations, working, traveling to other countries and ready to lend a helping hand to many.  He never met a stranger, greeted everyone with a smile and a John story and loved for the joke to be on you.
