Karen Lou Ward was born on November 16, 1961, at Bonne Terre, MO, the daughter of Orville and Ruby Haile, and passed away on June 8, 2026, at the age of 64.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents Ruben and Mary Duncan, maternal grandparent Stella Haile, and cousins, Janet Haggard, Carol Crocker, Mary Beth Johnson, June Scott, Glen Rolens, her aunt and uncle Ruth and Roy Williams, Forest and Jeanie Haile, Mildred and Ivan Rolens.

Karen is survived by her mother, daughter, Kathryn (Huck) Huckelby, ex. husband, James Ward who she married in 1996 then later divorced, several cousins and 2 special cousins, Connie Moon of Ste. Genevieve and Debra Cook of Van Buren.

Karen graduated from Etowah High School, Woodstock, GA in 1980. She loved the Lord and was attending New Covenant Beckon on the Hill Methodist Church in Emerson, GA. She was employed by OSC company.

Karen loved art, working outside and worshipping and most of all her family.

Karen's visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2026 from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. at Follis and Sons Funeral Home. Service is at Pine Hill Methodist Church in Bollinger County, MO, Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
