Rev. Kenneth A. Wirtmiller was born on February 3, 1923 at Minimum, Missouri the son of S.W. and Florence Emily (Green) Wirtmiller and passed away on July 10, 2013 at the Presbyterian Manor in Farmington at the age of 90 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Imogene (Kight) Wirtmiller whom he was united in marriage to on January 24, 1942, two sons Kenneth Ronald Wirtmiller and Kenneth Lee Wirtmiller, one step-daughter Susan Crews, three sisters Trula Alice Rumfelt, Frona Mae Weekley McDaniel, and Lula Henry, and one brother Robert Miller. He is survived by his wife Nadine Amy Crews Wirtmiller whom he was united in marriage to on July 6, 1994, one son Robert Burton (Marla) Wirtmiller of Nixa, Missouri, two daughters Patricia Jean (Forrest) Hammond of Farmington, Missouri and Joyce Wood of Bonne Terre, Missouri, two step-sons Wesley (Tammy) Crews of Farmington, Missouri and Stephen (Gloria) Crews of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and two step-daughters Lee (Gary) Burkett of Springfield, Missouri and Faith (Donald) Leith of Oregon City, Oregon. Also twenty-two (22) grandchildren and step-grandchildren and thirty-five (35) great grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Kenneth served in the United States Army from January 1943 to November 1945 and earned the American Theater Ribbon, the EAME Ribbon, the World War II Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. In 1951 he was ordained as a minister and has continued serving the Lord and preaching the Gospel for last 62 years in the United Baptist faith. Kenneth enjoyed preaching, hunting, fishing, and singing.
