Lee Anna May Cox was born August 15, 1928 at Cornwall, Missouri the daughter of Earl and Tressie (Matthews) Griffon and passed away on August 3, 2014 at Fredericktown at the age of 85 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rona Earl Cox whom she was united in marriage to on March 8, 1948 at Arkansas, three brothers Harold Griffon, Melvin Griffon, and Nelson Griffon, and sister-in-law Martha Griffon. Lee Anna is survived by one son Roger Earl (Connie) Cox of Fredericktown, one daughter Carolyn (Ray) Peeler of Farmington, two brothers Robert (Loretta) Griffon of Florida and Ray (Karen) Griffon of Moscow Mills, Missouri, two sisters-in-law Pat Griffon of Jackson, Missouri and Florence Griffon of Imperial, Missouri, four grandsons Scott (Bridget) Peeler of Farmington, Stephen Cox of Fredericktown, Justin (Allison) Cox of Sikeston, and Jason (Aarika) Cox of Fredericktown, and one great grandchild Harper Cox of Sikeston. Lee Anna was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, gardening, quilting, and farming on the family farm. One of her joys was feeding her grandsons her special pancakes, making her kitchen to be known as Grandma's Pancake House.
