Lena Smallen was born June 4, 1917 at Fredericktown the daughter of Phillip Augustus and Anna Elizabeth (Maze) Howell and passed away on December 1, 2015 at Fredericktown at the age of 98 years.
Lena was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Lindell Smallen whom she married on January 27, 1935 at Fredericktown. One (1) brother Earl Howell, Five(5) sisters Freda Jones, Mary Isbel, Mamie Rickman, Lillian Lucke and twin sister Lora Smallen.
Lena is survived by Two (2) sons Kenneth (Janet) Smallen, Ivan (Judy) Smallen and One (1) daughter Sue Harmon Yount. Five (5) grandchildren Gregg Smallen, Jaime Kleekamp, Matt Harmon, Stacy Slabaugh, Ivana Potter.
Six (6) great grandchildren Brandon, Ryan, Emma Grace, Jack, Jonathan & Gemma.
Lena was a member of Oak Grove United Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and volunteered at the nursing home.
