Leona Mae Peters was born March 21, 1921 at Perry county, Missouri the Daughter of Arba and Alta Hicklin and passed away on May 30, 2009 in Cape Girardeau at the age of 88 years.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Herbert whom she married on November 28, 1946 at St. Louis. One (1) son Daniel Peters, and one (1) sister Opal Hicklin.
Leona is survived by two (2) daughters Pamela Scott of Fredericktown, Peggy (Al) Barnes of Perryville. One (1) sister Oneita Shaw of Farber, Missouri. Four (4) grandchildren, and eleven (11) great-grandchildren.
Leona was of the Baptist faith, she enjoyed Gardening, being with her children and grandchildren, playing with her cat, and visiting with her sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 3, 2009
