Thomas Leroy "Little Shade" Ward was born on June 1, 1931 in Lodi, Missouri the son of Shade and Maggie (Harris) Ward and passed away on June 3, 2012 at Farmington at the age of 81 years. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Gertie Berry, Lois Clauser, Beulah Penn, Conchetta Ward, and Opal Ward; nephew Bill Penn; niece Lorraine Rhodes; and great nephew Rob Penn. Leroy was united in marriage to Sandra Lopez on May 25, 2008 in Fredericktown. He is survived by his wife Sandra; one daughter Sheryl Ward of Knob Lick, Missouri; one son Brian (Vickie) Ward of Fredericktown; one grandson Brandon Ward; four (4) nieces Ruby (Jack) Coonce of Tucson, Arizona, Mona (Jim) Baker of Gravois Mills, Missouri, Caryn Sullivant of Fredericktown, and Margie Grisham of Fredericktown; and several great nieces and nephews: Jimmy, Susie, Dakota, Jacob, Rod, Moriah, Doug, Mark, Kelli, Brad, and Mitch.
