Linda Joy Govreau, 75, of Fredericktown died December 8, 2024. Born July 26, 1949 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Ruth (Lucille Cobb) Johnson. Linda was a member of Oakdale General Baptist Church where she served as pianist. An avid music lover, she played many instruments but piano was her favorite favorite. She was pianist for Madison County Singing Conventions and for Madison County Senior Choir where she also served as a board member. Spending time with her beloved dog Bella and crafting was how she spent most of her time. Linda was a part of the 1967 Glen Allen, Mo graduating class where she graduated with honors in typing, shorthand and office practice. She retired from Wal Mart of Fredericktown, Mo where she worked for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Oscar Cletus Govreau, an unborn infant, a daughter Cindy Lou (Steve) Vaugh, and great grandson Welker Stephen Vaugh both of Festus, Mo, Parents Roy and Ruth (Lucille Cobb), Grandparents Charles and Maggie (Dellinger) Cobb and Grandparents Jim and Bessie (Thompson) Johnson.
She is survived by: Three Sons: Mike {Charlon) Govreau of Festus, Mo, Jerry (Debbie) Govreau of Desloge, Mo, Danny (Teresa) Govreau of Farmington, Mo. Son-in-Law Steve Vaugh of Festus, Mo. Brother-in-Law Bill (Kitty) Govreau of Ozark, Mo. Grandchildren: Chris Vaugh of Hillsboro, Mo, Zach Vaugh of Festus, Mo, Cody Govreau of Park Hills, Mo, Kylie Govreau of Festus, Mo, Bradley Govreau of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Joseph Govreau of Imperial, Mo, Emma Govreau of Bonne Terre, Mo.
Four Great Grandchildren, Special Cousin Norma Crews of Douglasville, GA, Special Classmate Joe Huskey, her beloved dog Bella, and several other cousins and friends.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 13, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until services begin at 11:30 a.m. at Follis & Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown, MO.
